Yes, I was born in 1984 so I grew up in an age when everyone was very panicked about it. My mom’s best friends were gay so I grew up very aware of the time. They even have a segment on Bill Nye the Science Guy about how you contract AIDS that I saw in 5th grade. That’s why I made the comment about “the magic of tv” I know the lifespan of someone with AIDS was very short then, but since this is a TV show I’m not going to assume someone is dead until the writers decide they are.
